Ingredients
  1. 1 Steak of your choice to serve two
  2. 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  3. 3 Teaspoons chopped shallots or green onions
  4. 1/2 Cup dry red wine
  5. 1 Teaspoon Awake-a-Steak seasoning
Instructions
  1. Pan fry steak in heavy iron skillet. Remove to platter. Pour off any oil. Add 1 tbs. butter and melt. Add shallots and cook 1 minute (until soft). Add wine. Increase heat. Cook and stir until reduced to 2 tbs. Remove from heat. Stir in butter and Awake-a-Steak to taste, pour over steak.

Ingredients
  1. (1) 1 - 2 inch thick steak
  2. Mesquite wood chips (optional)
  3. 4 Cups mushrooms, sliced
  4. 6 Tablespoons butter
  5. 5 Teaspoons Awake-a-Steak
Instructions
  1. Trim steak of any excess fat. Generously rub 2 tsp. of Awake-A-Steak on both sides of steak. Allow to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes, then grill over hot coals to desired doneness. (Cook over mesquite wood chips for extra flavor.) Melt butter in large frying pan over medium heat. Add mushrooms and 3 tsp. of Awake-A-Steak to pan. Stir constantly until mushrooms are tender and glazed. Top steak with sauteed mushrooms and serve. It's a cowboy favorite!

  2. Awake-A-Steak
  3. 1 tablespoons Garlic olive oil
  4. 3 tablespoons crumbled blue cheese
  5. ? cup your favorite Cabernet Sauvignon
Instructions
  1. Heat a large skillet over med-high heat for two minutes. In the mean time, rub all sides of the steaks with the garlic oil, and season to taste with Awake-A-Steak. Add a few drops of oil to the hot skillet, and swirl to coat. Add the steak to the skillet, and sear for one minute per side. Turn heat to med-low, and continue to cook the steak (turning every minute), until desired doneness.
  2. Turn the burner back to med-high, remove the pan from the heat, and add the wine and blue cheese. Wait until wine has finished steaming, and place pan back on the burner. Simmer until blue cheese melts and liquid evaporates, turning a few more times to coat well. Remove the steaks from the pan, and LET REST FOR 5 minutes before serving.
