Bourbon Molasses BBQ Beans

Hearty side dish made of multiple types of beans and added protein of kielbasa or sausage. Makes a hearty side to add to a cookout or potluck meal.

Ingredients

1 - 16 oz can pork and beans
1 - 16 oz can kidney beans (drained)
1 - 16 oz can lima beans (drained)
4 slices bacon, cut up in ¼” pieces
1 small onion, diced
½ cup brown sugar
1 cup ketchup
3 Tbsp Bourbon Molasses seasoning
1 Tbsp mustard
1 Tbsp vinegar
1 lb. kielbasa or smoked sausage sliced

Directions

On stovetop with medium heat use a skillet to fry chopped bacon, add onion once bacon is cooked and stir until onion is softened. Add brown sugar, mustard, ketchup, vinegar, bourbon molasses seasoning. Stir to combine. Add sliced kielbasa/sausage and beans. Combine. Transfer to a baking dish. Back on 350 for 60 minutes. Can also be cooked in a crockpot. Low setting 2 hours then warm until serving.
